*Saltburn is a seaside town in the North East of England,* *built in the Edwardian and Victorian times.* *The Cliff lift, Pier, Italian gardens* *and the Miniature railway were constructed* *about the same period.*

In July 1997 after years of fund raising and a National Lottery Grant for £63,500, the Bandstand which was designed by Peter Fenton, a well known local architect was opened. ( Brit events,Saltburn bandstand )

*The Bandstand boasts decorative security screens made by James Godbold.*
	*Every year band concerts are held between May and Sept, organised by the Saltburn 500´s Club.*

The Island Girls
is a band playing a bilingual repertoire of original, traditional and Celtic music.
