Located in the mountains of north central Arizona and approximately 96 miles northwest of Phoenix,
the City borders the Prescott National Forest to the south and west. Prescott is the county seat of Yavapai County.

The bandstand and the courthouse in Prescott stand in the Plaza in downtown Prescott and local businesses surround it on four sides.  During the summer, there are many activities on the Plaza including music and dancing and at Christmas the courthouse and bandstand are wrapped in colorful lights.  The courthouse was built in 1878 and shortly after improvements were made on the grounds to include the bandstand.  It is an inviting structure that attracts people of all ages to play in and around and reminisce about sultry evenings and days gone by....
